Must have this Minute- Part 2

MICHAEL'S CAR!

We STILL do not have Michael's car back! While I am happy with the theft settlement the car part has been annoying now. Michael's car has been in the shop for two weeks yesterday! But the kicker is, it has been ready since MONDAY! Why, do we not have it you say? Because the lazyass Insurance adjuster has not gone out there to write them a check for the car. Yes, I am serious. So, if he doesn't promise to go out there today I am threatening a report to The Texas State Board of Insurance to get a little fire under his ass!

I mean, I really love being Michael's chauffeur and all but it is time to be a two car family again!

My Must have this Minute

TWEEZERS!

So my favorite tweezers were stolen along with everything else and I have still not bought new "good" tweezers and have just been using a spare pair around the house. There is a huge difference in the tweezers. So, my suggestion, spend a little more money and get some good tweezers. I went to get new glasses (as they were also stolen) and I am sure the lady was really questioning the brow look I was going for.

So my mission today is to buy new tweezers!

Weekend Update- late

Man, this is delayed but I just feel like I have so much going on- eek! We had a very busy weekend- very! On Friday, Michael had a work meeting at the house to go over numbers with a friend of ours, Kullen. So we turned it into a playdate! Kullen's wife, Natalie and daughter, Adalynn came over for wine and playing! It was super fun, Adalynn is a sweetheart.

After our play date Michael, Sloan and I packed our bags and went to our dear friends, Kacy and Taylor's house for grilling, drinking and a slumber party! We got there, played and put Sloan to sleep. We ate delish steaks, potatoes, corn and fresh fruit- it was a great spring night! Oh, and we of course had cream cheese stuffed jalapenos wrapped in bacon! So fun. We will definitely have another slumber party at the Campbell-Giles!

Rain, Rain...STAY!

We broke out Sloan's Easter presents a little early this year because one of them needed to be used immediately....her new Raincoat! We had a lovely, warm spring rain on Tuesday evening so we broke out the raincoat and sang in the rain! Sloan was having so much fun!! Here are a few pics of our rain princess!

My collection...of women?

Many people have collections. Some people collect coins, old stamps, stuffed animals, frog trinkets. I too have a collection, however, mine is a little bit more off the beaten path. I collect Women, Whimsical Women to be exact. Hmmm, you think? What does she mean? I collect dolls, figurines or statutes of women. The women of course must be whimsical in their own special way. I love my odd collection. My friends and family think it is a little funny, maybe even creepy. And my husband just straight-up doesn't get it. But to me they are special. So please meet some of the wonderful, whimsical women in my life!

These three gems sit on the left side of my mantle.

These two (along with another one pictured below) sit on the right side of my mantle. Only one of my Women has a name and it is the one on the right. She was named "Beth" by my friend Eric.

I love this one!

These three also sit on a book shelf in my living room.

Close up, see, not creepy at all.

My Must Have this Minute

Frank's Red Hot Sauce.

I have a love affair with Frank's. He is amazing. He adds the spice I need in my life. He is good on anything. Sometimes you just want a kick in the mouth- in the good way. I put him on chicken, on eggs, really on anything. And I recently put him on Popcorn which was an experiment that I do NOT regret. Thank you, Frank's for adding that special spice to my life. I love you.

Weekend Update

Thank goodness the weekend came when it did, I needed it! Friday, Sloan and I had a great lunch with my cousin, Luke, who was in town from Tech. That night Michael and I picked up El Fenix and watched TV and I was in bed around 9:30- Awesome! I had to get some rest for Saturday!

Saturday morning we played in the backyard in our PJs before we drove out to Denton to watch our nephew, Jack's baseball game then hung out with family most of the day there, it was super fun. Sloan loves playing on their trampoline and with their pet rabbit Peanut.

We found a lady bug! Sloan loves bugs!

PANDA!

We were suppose to go out to a friend of mine's for her 30th birthday but they had to last minute cancel because her baby had croup! Yikes! So, that was a total bummer but... because it was canceled we were able to make it to another friend's party that night. Called my Mom real quick see if she could babysit for a few hours and then we were off to Bryan Street Tavern for Taylor's birthday! They have a great outdoor space and it was a beautiful day/night. We could only stay for awhile but it was great when we were there. We went to pick up Sloan,  my Aunt, Uncle and two cousins were at my Mom's so we stayed for a drink before bringing it back to the house with my cousin, Luke.

Didn't stop moving from 10:00 to 7:00. cleaned the house, picked up, did laundry, cleaned out my closet, cleaned out my shoes, washed the couch cushions, went grocery shopping, went shopping shopping, went to the pet-store... I am telling you, I was on a roll! Anywho, I was glad that my weekend ended productive because I love going into the week "ready".

My week is off to a good start and it is a beautiful day! I got a pair of shoes and a dress a ordered in the mail today- Success!!! Hope everyone has a KA week!
