The Dino Exhibit!

Today was so fun! Whitney and her two kids, Sloan's cousins, Carter and Charlotte came over and we had a quick lunch. We had to get energized for our big adventure to the Museum of Nature and Science to see the Dino Exhibit!! Carter is going through a HUGE Dinosaurs phase...no really, it is amazing how much he knows. He is intellectually gifted, seriously un-biased, as it is but this Dino obsession has his brains on showcase even more. He knows more names of dinosaurs than you and I combined, can say them correctly and knows if they are herbivores or carnivores. Hangout with the guy, I promise he will teach you something. Needless to say we had a blast at the museum!

The T-Rex and Carter acting like a T-Rex (please note he only has two fingers out, like T-Rex)

Carter's T-Rex in motion...if only it had audio! ;)

Some dinosaur. It was pretty cool, you could move them and they would roar\moan\bark...whatever they do.

Could barely hold still long enough to get a picture!

Twins, obviously.

Carter and the girls.

Sloan a little scared.

Mommy and Sloan. Too many distractions for this girl.

Digging for dino bones!

Whitney playing in the bubbles.

It's your worst nightmare... there are a million Shelbys!!! (pinkie always up)

Carter watching a guy throw-up. Seriously.

Whitney, Charlotte and Carter

Carter playing in the Fire Truck!

Sliding.

Not sure when they got this big or how it happened. Amazing.

Whitney dressing up Sloan and not Charlotte because "Sloan likes this sort of thing more" which is so true! She loves it and to be dressed up like a Queen to boot!

Playing in the foam blocks.

Big Carter rock climbing.

Crawling through the Ant tunnel.

Carter standing on the museum steps screaming "I love the museum!"

It was such a fun trip and so fun to see Carter get involved with the dinosaurs and watch his little mind work. Everyone did great and were troopers all day.

Side Note: And when we were leaving we saw two women with three kids each on leashes. I mean, come on, A. I think its weird. B. I think it's lazy, the maxium amount of parenting you can do is an leashes length?? C. The leashes were ugly and had these stupid ugly backpacks on them. Get a grip...or in your case, don't get a grip. (<---- hilarious joke)

  1. Great Post! You got a picture of everything! The girls look so big on the slide (like I wasn't keeping Charlotte from jumping off the side)! Thanks for documenting at least part of my life...I am not that good.
